Water levels stablilizing

We were concerned we'd have another one of those couple of week long floods in the western basin BUT we're looking good at this point.

Looking at target levels these locations are a little high; Cayuga-Seneca Lock #1, Seneca River west, Sylvan Beach.

Baldwinsville is a hair low.

We're still collecting waterfront photos. You don't have to be experiencing high water for us to be interested in your photos. Please send some photos in.

Water levels on the rise....

Comments from eyes out in the field.
Saturday July 26, 2008.

From Cross Lake - East side of lake;
-water level is 2 foot above normal
-water started up on 7-25-08
-it seemed to have leveled off on 7-26-08 at approx. 5pm
-could excess water from the Clyde River,Oswaco Lake, Skaneatles Lake and gate not opened soon enough in Baldwinsvill have caused the rise in water?

From Baldwinsville; W. Genesee Road in Baldwinsville. It is located on the Seneca River between Coopers and the 690 bridge: West of Coopers and East of the bridge.The water level here is very low--got a little better with the rains this past week, but lower than normal. I think it has contributed to the increase of the water chestnut mats. The river gets narrower every year!

From Hayes Road which is east of Baldwinsville, about five miles, the water level in the Seneca river seems to be high normal..I hope this helps....

From the South shore of Oneida Lake is normal
